Gathering of Eagles West Point

Dick Cheney was the roastee du jour in the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition's 'Turn Up The Heat' campaign today at West Point Academy. Their objective was to 'Ignite A Firestorm' as the Vice President addressed the cadets on graduation day. I'm not sure they accomplished that. You'll have to decide.

Demonstrators were not permitted on the Academy grounds, so the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition planned a march planned along Freedom Road and lamentably encamped at a park which also happens to have many important war memorials.

The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition thought so much of the graduating cadets and their families, they brought along a string of coffins and lined them along Freedom Road.

Thank God for the Gathering of Eagles who came out on this beautiful Memorial Day weekend to support the troops with a show of patriotism. It was greatly appreciated by many cadets and their families who went by with lots of thumbs up and cheers.

As you go through my photos please bear in mind that the American flags you see in the gazebo in the park where the ANSWER folks were esconced actually belong to the park.
The Gathering of Eagles brought this little baby along... on top of a 50 ft. crane.

UPDATE: Gateway Pundit has more.

Wonder Woman doesn't even begin to tell the tale of Urban Infidel. I have the honor and pleasure of calling her a dear friend, so trust me, I know. But, I do agree. Good work! LOVE the shots of the Gathering of Eagles folks, as well as the pinko commies, as well. Can't believe the Mumia folks even had to make their presence made. And, what about that big cow in the hat and tambourine? HAHAHAHA! That is the best of the lot. In a bad way, of course. Thank you for your fine reporting, once again. I'm so happy to see the flags flying in support of our guys. God bless you, UI, and God bless America!!! Long may she stand behind the good men and women who protect her...

Thanks for the photos. They are great. I noticed that a lot of the anti-war crowd were clearly holdovers from the late 60's early 70's. Little grayer, but same clothing and hair. LOL.

Happy Memorial Day all. Remember those that have served.

Excellent photos and post.

I've counter-protested dozens of these leftards in WDC and I have to say that every one of them turns out to be an absolute freakshow. What is aobut the leftards that they have to dress up like circus clowns to make their point?

UI is my hero.

Having formerly been around the ANSWER people and the IAC cult that they are a front group more than I would like to admit I must take extreme issue with their use of the Flag drapped coffins in their agitprop.

If I actually thought that these people had concern for American soldiers than it might not be so infuriating. But I know where these people are coming from and they truly do hate this country and all that it represents. Many of them are hard-line, Marxists, idealogues, who are not even a step above the Westboro Baptist Church types.

Keep up the good work in exposing these tools UI and take care!

Thanks so much for your continued excellent images, UI! I am filled with rage to witness the disrespect that these vermin will perpetrate on such an important, sacred day for our Veterans and enlisted. They will not escape God's watchful eye. May those abhorrent sickos rot in hell.

God bless GOE.

Rolling Thunder had a huge presence here for Memorial Day weekend. Flags were draped all along the overpasses on their routes into D.C. I didn't see much evidence of the anti-war crowd, but I'm sure they made an appearance--outnumbered, though.

Great photos, UI!

You continually amaze me with your efforts.
Why ANSWER decided that the graduating ceremonies at West Point was an appropriate place to line coffins escapes me.
I guess they aren't concerned that these men and women will be called upon shortly to fight for their freedoms.

You're kidding....right? Are you not fighting censorship? Is THAT what YOUR America is all about?

It's no wonder to me then that you moonbats only make up 28% of the American public anymore.

SHAME ON YOU!

I was there at West Point last Saturday, May 26th and was unfortunate enough to witness you IMBECILES (all 8 of you) pathetically attempting to overshout 1000 patriotic Americans exercising their Constitutional right to protest (oops, didn't mean to offen you Turkeys...I mean "eagles" LOL) .

8 people....that's ALL you miserable inbreds could conjur up? I slept well that night knowing that America has FINALLY come to her senses when she kicked your fucking teeth in last November and told you chickenhawks ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Here's a tip for next time you pathetic warmongers decide to come out and whine. Have a couple of combat Veterans on your side (yes, I know you all take your cues from the GOP and ole "5 deferrment" Dick Cheney and never have the guts or character to serve your country). Not one in your group at West Point was a Vet...how sad but absolutely classic of your crowd. The head MORON with the orange T-shirt actually admitted he never served because he was "too young" during Vietnam. LOL.

SHAME ON YOU for insulting the Veterans who were there protesting dumbya's QUAGMIRE in Iraq. SHAME ON YOU for cowardly insulting the Raging Grannies....old ladies unable to defend themselves, but then again that's your modus operandi.

Oh and finally, you might want to tell the uneducated head bufoon with the microphone to shut down and re-tool. Joe McCarthy and the Communist boogie man went out in 1955, although your man did provide much needed laughter and levity during the march with his communist/socialist scare tactics drivel!

I DARE you to publish this if you truly value our Constitution and American value of freedom of speech!

The usual suspects are now talking about violence. The far left has forgotten that the Weathermen were despised by the vast majority of Americans.

Finally read your screed, Anonymouse.

Aside from your screeching ranting style you have the facts wrong. There were NOT 1,000 anti-war protesters. There were about 300 at the most. And there were about 50 Eagles and patriots counter demonstrating. I've seen your troll-like postings around the web and the best advice I can give you is to grow up.

No on picked on any grannies either. Give me a break. Oh and save the foul language for your compatriots and your violent ANSWER Coalition leaders.

I wonder why the post was anonymous?
He/she/it/buffoon couldn't even spell "buffoon" correctly.

AC,
Pretty sad, isn't it?

If I showed you all the comments from 'anonymous' that are all over the web it would be just be too embarassing for words. This troll masquerading as a person desperately needs to get a life.

AND.. Of course he makes no mention of me being smacked in the face with an anti-war sign by one of the ANSWER organizers..
Such peaceful people. Yea, right!

I'm happy to see that you were at West Point on Memorial Day Weekend. I spent the weekend in DC with GOE and Rolling Thunder.

No moonbats were seen that weekend in DC - it made for a more cleaner and safer experience for everyone visiting DC.
